Our regular contributers
Elena Botella served as president during the 2011-2012 school year. A math and economics (T-13′) double major from Charlotte, NC, she’s particularly interested in agriculture, healthcare, macroeconomic policy, women’s issues and North Carolina politics.
Jordan DeLoatch is one of the vice presidents of communications for Duke Democrats, and a sophomore from Cary, North Carolina. He first got interested in politics at the same time as President Obama’s campaign (and can’t wait to vote for him in November!), which inspired him to perhaps seek office one day. Until then, he’s spending his time learning, living, loving, staying up to date, and watching Duke basketball.
Maggie Spini is the other vice president of communications. A senior from Arcata, California, she’s majoring in English with minors in Italian and political science.
Diego Quezada is a sophomore from Durham, North Carolina. A soon-to-be public policy major, he is particularly interested in issues relating to immigration, health disparities and the environment. In addition to blogging about politics, Quezada is a writer for the SB Nation blog Hot Hot Hoops.
